Limitations of Vintage Photos

Vintage photos have very unique qualities unlike other stock photography. All of our photos have been scanned at the industry standard of 300dpi and have been retouched to remove most of the most noticeable imperfections. Vintage photos were taken at a time when cameras were much simpler. Cameras did not have the quality of lenses or controls we have today. While many great photos were taken with a box camera the end result is that photos may be slightly out of focus, lack detail especially in highlight and shadow areas and are not as sharp as todays photos. It is these qualities that makes these historic photos so interesting to use in todays market. Photos may need additional retouching/correction to meet your individual needs.
